Iva Basquill



•I was saved at the age of seven and have walked with the Lord for over 30 years now.
•Survivor of childhood abuse.
•Grew up in a transracial family.
•Lived in a children’s home from age 14 to 18
•Knew I wanted to be a school teacher from age 12
•Answered prayer big in my life: getting to the children’s home, getting to college etc.
•Graduated with a degree in Special Education from Harding University, Masters Degree in Education from University of Louisville, Endorsement to teach ESL from Spalding University
•Taught for 16 years in the public schools
•Proud mother of Caleb (5,) Gracie (4,) (15 months apart—twins the hard way.)
•Married to my best friend
•Have been on mission trips to Haiti, Jamaica, Russia, and Appalachia
•Currently interested in speaking to use my story to help others and glorify God by showing God’s handiwork in my life.
