Agnes Spurlock

Agnes is a wife, mother, grandmother and life-long volunteer whose approach to life is a friendly smile, a positive attitude, and a deep concern for helping others. She has been organizing everything in sight for years. How many people do you know that get excited about cleaning out a closet?

She is an energetic speaker with the ability to blend humor with compassion as she captures the inner-most feelings of women facing life's daily struggles. Her heart-touching stories from her real-life experiences create a sense of community for women of all ages.

Her "Life in Balance" message brings encouragement and hope to women who find themselves overwhelmed and overextended. She addresses issues ranging from the daily struggles of women raising children to women caring for aging parents while trying to maintain a sense of balance in their lives. She talks honestly about such things as her breast cancer journey to the difficulty of losing her best friend to cancer.

After suffering a stroke and having the doctors conclude there was nothing wrong except her stress levels were off the charts, Agnes set out to change some life-learned stressful habits by slowing down to find the right blend in her physical, emotional and spiritual life. While on the journey, God began to reveal a new purpose for her life as women began to approach her about the changes she was making. Agnes was soon speaking and sharing her simple and practical tips for managing the clutter that seems to be controlling the lives of women everywhere.

After a fulfilling, non-profit career as Director of Volunteer Services at the Cincinnati Zoo, Development Director at Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity, and Group Ministry Director at Montgomery Community Church, she is now devoting her energy to encouraging women to simplify and recapture the quality of their life.
