Statement of Faith

I am incredibly grateful for God’s free gift of forgiveness for all my sins…past, present and future. I strive to live a life that is pleasing to God…honest, truthful, and sexually pure. My heart burns to share the boundless love of an amazing God. As a reborn, magnificently forgiven and surrendered daughter of Jesus Christ, I offer these statements of my faith after prayerful reflection.

The Bible is God's holy revelation of Himself to man. Though written by men, it was divinely inspired by God and is without error in its original writing. The Bible’s truth is timeless and is the full and final authority on all matters of faith.

I believe there is one living and true God. He is the holy, perfect, powerful, all-knowing, all-loving Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe. He has no beginning and no end. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity displays different attributes, but is incredibly one and the same.
 God the Father reigns with providential care over the universe He created and is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
 The Son of God, Jesus Christ, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, a virgin. He was without sin, but took on human form to redeem men and women from sin. He died a brutal death on the cross, was raised from the dead, and appeared to His disciples with a glorified body. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God. His blood paid for my sins and washed me white as snow. He is my friend and my mediator. Jesus will return in power and glory to judge the world.
 The Holy Spirit dwells in Christ-followers to comfort, convict, enlighten and empower believers to exalt Christ through worship, evangelism, and service. He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ and bestows spiritual gifts. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption.

Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the purpose of God. That grace was given through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Salvation is a free gift offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood purchased eternal redemption for all believers. All men are born sinners. Salvation is a change of heart created by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin. The sinner responds by repenting (genuinely turning from sin toward God) and putting his faith in Jesus Christ. Believers become new creatures in Christ

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local congregation of believers who share the faith and fellowship of the gospel, seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. The dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men. The righteous will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
